Both are tests designed to check the student’s knowledge and are the primary criteria of admission in most colleges. Colleges such as Savitribai Phule Pune University and Department of Management Sciences both belonging to PUMBA are the most sought after colleges due to their low fee structures, high placements, and highly qualified faculty. The CAT cut off in these colleges usually go over 85+ percentile. Other colleges that accept CAT and XAT scores are BIMM, ASM, MITSOT, and MITSOB. The percentile in these colleges goes over 60+ percentile.
The Symbiosis Institute of Business Management (SIBM) Pune gives admissions to students based on the SNAP score. Some colleges also offer admissions based on MAT and CMAT scores and this is especially beneficial for students who do not have very high CAT, XAT and SNAP scores.

The choice of the college for an MBA also depends on the fee structure offered by the college. PUMBA has a very low fee structure while other colleges charge up to 20 lakhs. Other good colleges cost around 10 lakhs and provide quality education with good placements.
