Belonging to the 15xx series of errors, QuickBooks error 15101 is quite similar to QuickBooks error 15241. However, the methods to fix these issues are completely different. Take a look at the following solutions to find out how: –

Method #1: Downloading the Digital Signature Certificate 

  • In your system’s C Drive, look for the QBW32.exe file. It is usually found in the Intuit Folder itself.
  • Right-Click on the File by and then select Properties.
  • Then, click on the Digital Signature tab and see if Intuit, Inc is already selected or not.
  • After that, click on Details.
  • The Details window will let you view the certificate.
  • Keep clicking on Next till the Finish button appears. Once it displays, click on it right away.
  • Now, reboot your system and open QB,
  • See if there’s a pending update of QuickBooks. In case there is, update your accounting software once again.

Method #2: Install Anti-Virus or Firewall

For Windows 8 and Windows 7 Users

Step1: Access the Windows Advanced Options by pressing F8 on your keyboard. A dialogue box asking you whether you want to run Safe Mode or not? Once that appears, click Yes.  In case your system has more than one computer, make use of the arrow keys to select the operating system of your choice and after that press F8.

Step 2: After clicking on Safe Mode with Networking, select the OS to reboot the system and press Enter.

Step 3: As soon as you log in, click on Admin and enter the admin password.
