Which exam is needed to study an MS abroad?

Planning to study MS abroad? MS is a post graduate degree in any Science stream also known as Masters in Science degree. GRE scores are valid for five years. GRE has two parts the general part and the subject part.

Medical College Admissions Test MCAT

Those who have a bachelor’s degree in medicine and want to pursue a master’s course in medicine abroad need to appear for international medical entrance test. USA is a sought after destination for post graduate studies in medicine. If you want to study medicine in US universities you have to clear the MCAT test. The test frequency is quite high and is held 15 times a year. The subjects tested are Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Behavior foundations including psychological, social and biological basis of behavior, as well as verbal reasoning and writing skills.

Test for languages

Countries that have official language as English conduct courses in English. All those who want to pursue MS in abroad in English speaking countries like USA, UK, and Australia also need to clear international language tests apart from GRE.

Universities of US and Canada accept TOEFL scores. CELPIP scores are also accepted in Canada. IELTS and PTE scores are accepted in UK, Australia and New Zealand. UK varsities accept CAE/CPE test scores

Scholarship seat examinations

Scholarships can waive up to 80 % of tuition fees. Most global varsities offer scholarship seats on merit basis. Institutes may accept high ranking scores of GRE to allot scholarship seats. Some universities may also conduct separate exams for allocating scholarships.
